YOU DON’T HEAR A SPORTSMAN E.G. BOXER SAY “THIS IS TOO HARD/ I CAN’T.”
“TRAINING IS FAST BUT THIS IS GOOD FOR ME”; I heard this during an interview and it sparked my thinking. THEY WANT TO BE PUSHED AND BE IN THE VERY BEST POSITION AND SHAPE FOR THEIR WORK/ A COMPETIITON.
Many of us do this, very superficially, for our body getting that “summer body” ready, lining the pockets of personal trainers for “abs season” (and very vainly for the visual but not internally and not for our mind).
A boxer does not train for a timid, shy exchange or calm interaction and experience. They push themselves mentally and physically. Why? They recognize their opponent and study their technique but also acknowledge their toughest opponent is themselves so train to extract the most and best out of themselves should and when they need to.
Should we not and wouldn’t it be best and make perfect sense to get our mind in the best possible shape to perform and create?
I train my mind strengthening it everyday and it is in mmagnificent shape… quite funnily however, much is left to the imagination when it comes to my physical shape; guilty.
BALANCE is the key word to frame this post. Take care of both your physical and mental stature to create a strong, sustainable wellbeing.
